Guest Readers from school and community coming to school each day to read to students during recess times (10.15), 'Daily Brain Teaser' delivered daily to each classroom with the class with most correct entries at end of week winning a prize, 'Class Restaurant' - Year 5/6 students organising menu, budget, invitations and job applications for positions eg chef, waiter, cook etc. Class Restaurant (Asian Cuisine) will be held on Tuesday 1st at 12.00pm and our special invited guests are our clever tutors and ISA's who work with our kids every day with Literacy and Numeracy (celebrating their hard work and dedication), Classes going to the Red Cross to read and perform to the residents on Wednesday morning 9.00 - 10.00am, A class going to Kintore Street Special school to read to the children on Tuesday, Upper Primary students organising and leading literacy and numeracy rotational activities to the early childhood and middle primary classes on Tuesday 11 - 12.30pm, Puppetry Competition (oral language) with winning class performing on Friday's special assembly, 'Sunset Sharing' on Wednesday night 5.30-6.30pm where parents/caregivers come to school and the students share their learning journey with them, Dress up as your favourite Book Character on Friday 4th - Parading costumes at assembly on Friday with prizes to be won, Book Week quiz in the library, Interactive Literacy and Numeracy lessons during ICT lessons with prizes to be won and Book Safari with students from middle/upper primary researching and creating a factual book based on the book 'Why is the sky Blue?'.
